Celebrating Your Child’s First Of Life

Anyone who is a parent or has been close to a child since their birth knows the importance of a first birthday. To think that this little life that was once a dream of possibilities and imagination has now graced the earth for a full year is significant and worth celebrating. It’s one of the reasons I love doing birthday sessions, especially of little ones.

• 

For my Birthday Sessions, I provide the backdrop and balloons. Parents are welcome to bring various outfits, cake/cupcake and other decor/props to personalize the session. I enjoy the creativity in choosing the backdrop and colours for the balloons. It’s fun to see what the parents bring.

• 

I was able to witness the care that Cienna’s parents took to make sure she felt important. From bringing different outfits for her, to picking up a pretty cake for her to smash, to seeing how they played with her, their love was displayed in various ways.

To see the love for a child reflected in the eyes of their parents is touching. Every time I do any kind of child photoshoot the parents come in with sparkly eyes and hearts full of pride as seen through their smiles. They take the backseat to allow their precious son or daughter to shine.

For the months of January and February I offered a special promo of a FREE bathtub add-on at the end of photoshoots for babies and toddlers. Since these are our coldest winter months in Canada, I thought it would be a great incentive for parents to get professional pictures of their little ones. It was a clever way to get people out of their homes and do something fun for a little bit with their most treasured person.

The gain is both the memories they make during the photo session as well as the photos themselves, which they will hold onto for the rest of their lives.

Ceanna was such a sweet girl who gave us some good smiles. It was a privilege being a part of commemorating her first year of life. I hope she has a life full of joy, love and peace. She is blessed to have parents who love her and who made it a point to celebrate her.

May we never stop celebrating the people in our lives whether they are one, 15 or 90 years old.
