Brick walls, murals, nature and an adventurous spirit!

What a night we had, capturing high school graduation memories in Lacombe with Victoria. She arrived looking beautiful in her shimmering grad dress, with hair and makeup looking perfect!

We had several spots in mind for her session – the first was her childhood home’s backyard. Mom, dad and brother were all present for some memorable family photos. Her cat even joined us for a few of them. We finished off this time by reenacting a childhood photo where Victoria and her brother were peeking out from the wooden shed door. A little bigger than they were in the past, they managed to stack themselves and only have their heads popping out the side of the door – lots of laughter erupted as we tried to set this shot up!

The evening continue at Cranna Lake. As the sun began to set we captured some images down the walking trail and next to the water in the tall reeds.

After spending time in nature, we moved the photoshoot into downtown Lacombe. Lacombe is a great place for urban photoshoots with iconic spots like Sweet Capones brick wall and of course the Flatiron building. Countless muralled walls allowed us to capture a truly moody look as I grabbed some lighting gear and we “lit up the night” next to the amazing paintings. 

After finishing up her high school days in Lacombe, Victoria is venturing off to British Columbia next year to begin her journey as an esthetician. I wish you the best of life Victoria – you have a personality that glows, as brightly as your gorgeous dress…skies the limit for anything you want to accomplish in this lifetime! Enjoy doing it and continue learning!
