12 years later, they are back with the kids!

12 years ago, the Pulham Family (my sister and her husband, and their newborn eldest daughter at the time), came to Calgary for my wedding. They haven’t been back since…but when work allowed my sister to make a visit to Alberta, the rest of the family decided to come along too!

It was really special for my husband and I to watch our nieces experience the mountains for the first time.

As is normal at Lake Louise, there were mounds of people there and it wasn’t even a weekend! We had to park down the main road, and walk up to the Lake. It’s amazing how amongst all the visitors, we could capture some photos that make it look like we are the only ones there!

It was an incredibly long day as we travelled from Airdrie to Lake Louise, then to Moraine Lake, and finally we made a quick stop through Banff. Amongst all the “are we there yet”, it’s fun to look back on these photos and remember those precious moments with my family.

I have called Alberta home since 2002, but I do still miss my immediate family who are still in London, Ontario. I hope they will come and visit again…and we’ll do some activities closer to the city!

To end off the trip, my brother-in-law decided to buy an old Mustang and drive it back to Ontario. It was a long drive, with a steering wheel that kept pulling to the left (apparently a new set of tires fixed the problem). The road was long, and I’m sure he likely won’t do it again…but he arrived 4 days later in Ontario, safe and sound.
