There’s nothing like spending time with a child. It doesn’t matter if they are related to you or not, the love that oozes out of a little one has the power to disarm even hard hearts. We need the laughter, playfulness, innoncence and curiosity that spills out of children to combat the increasing anger and sadness found in our world.

Witnessing the love between mother and daughter was heartwarming. The bond is strong, deep and tender. There are so many different kinds of love to celebrate on this earth and Valentine’s Day reminds us that they are each powerful in their own ways.

It was a joy to see Harper’s lively personality come across the camera. The girl loves to be photographed and wasn’t shy to smile or pose. If only as adults we could be as carefree as her we would probably have less stress in our lives and more fun.

On this Valentine’s Day, I challenge you to be like Harper. Laugh, be bold and hug someone you love. What the world needs more than ever is love, sweet love. That’s the only thing that there’s just too little of.
