Rows and rows of trees…

I’ve photographed this family quite a few times…and yes that’s awesome and I feel privileged each time they call, but it also means that I feel the pressure to find new spots to use for them, and pose them differently too. But posing is easy these days when the kids are so small and really, they don’t want to pose, they want to RUN and PLAY! So…we improvise and remain flexible! The photos may not be perfectly staged but they ARE LIFE (with kids 🙂 )!

I knew that this location would be perfect – Edworthy Park in Calgary! It has the most beautiful dual-row of trees, that create these outstanding “leading lines” and moody look. Now honestly, the kids didn’t see my vision…we did get a few photos there but ultimately, they were the happiest when we ventured down to the waters edge and threw rocks in the river! Of course that was after a detour to the slides and playground.

I love the images we captured and the fun the kids had at the same time! Thanks again Knorr family for trusting me with your family photos!
